Hillary Clinton tries to take credit for surge. Somehow I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. Now after our military's continued efforts and perseverance the surge in Iraq is working.
It is solely a credit that must be given to our armed forces backed by Republicans.
How convenient for Hillary Clinton to try and take credit for it, now that nobody can deny that the handing of Iraq to the Iraqi people, the surge is working.
Gateway Pundit published this earlier today:
"It has begun…Democrats are now taking credit for the surge … A surge they all opposed."
MR. RUSSERT: If General Petraeus says, "Senator, in September you called the surge the suspension of belief. It has worked, and you know it's worked"--let me finish--"you can see on the ground. I'm saying to you, Senator, or president-elect Clinton, don't destroy Iraq. It's working, the surge is working. Keep troops there just a few more months to get this reconciliation complete."

That is only now beginning to happen, and I believe in large measure because the Iraqi government, they watch us, they listen to us. I know very well that they follow everything that I say. And my commitment to begin withdrawing our troops in January of 2009 is a big factor, as it is with Senator Obama, Senator Edwards, those of us on the Democratic side. It is a big factor in pushing the Iraqi government to finally do what they should have been doing all along.

Just amazing. Claiming credit for something she still says didn't happen.
I wonder when she'll take credit for stealing the White House china when they left office. And if, God help us, she wins the presidency, will she bring the china back?
No DemoRat can claim credit for any military success in Iraq or Afhganistan, all they've tried to do is thwart success. Scumbags.
General Petraeus was called “General betray us” by MoveOn.org. It was not until two weeks after this statement was made that Hillary hesitantly condoned it. And that was only because of public pressure, otherwise we would have heard zip from her. Hillary Clinton called General Petraeus commanding one of the most complex wars the US ever faced a liar and a failure. Ironically and conveniently, now she has the audacity to take credit for the surge in Iraq. UNREAL!!
